Instructions

The system uses an RFID reader and RFID tag to identify an authorized emergency vehicle. When the ambulance approaches the signal and the RFID tag is detected, the system automatically changes the traffic signal to GREEN, allowing the ambulance to pass without unnecessary delay. After the emergency vehicle passes, the traffic signal can return to its normal sequence.

How It Works
During normal operation, the traffic signal changes between RED, YELLOW, and GREEN according to the programmed timing.
When an authorized ambulance carrying an RFID tag approaches the RFID reader, the reader detects the tag and sends the information to the Arduino. The Arduino then gives priority to the ambulance by changing the traffic signal to GREEN.
The LCD can display a message such as “Give Way to Ambulance” while the emergency vehicle is being given priority. Once the emergency vehicle has passed, the system resumes its normal traffic signal operation.
